Thank you for your support and the many comments and suggestions. A new version of SpiderScan is undergoing beta testing and will be released soon.

The main changes in version 1.11 are:

A gap history tool to pull out gap lists from historical data. This is a great tool to study and review charts. There is a video on the blog about this new tool.

A new gap scan using the TD Ameritrade API and a fixed list of stocks. This is the same API used by their StrategyDesk scanner but with much better performance. A TD Ameritrade account is required. This new scan can be run early after the open and will generate a complete list of gappers from a pre-filtered list. Early benchmark testing show times of less than 45 seconds to scan through 3500 stocks.

A new database for Yahoo data. This database eliminates repeated queries for the same data and considerably speeds up almost every scans.

Watch List tool, automatic orders from stock charts

The Watch List Tool requires a minimum QuoteTracker at the moment. The automatic order fill requires Interative Brokers's TWS desktop application. Pick a bar from a stock chart, 5, 10 or 15 minute bar. Have SpiderScan calculate your order size and fill in a stop limit order with a protective stop into IB TWS.

The Briefing.com scan can be run pre-market or after the open. Here is a video for today's scan. Put the volume up... I am narrating. Notice how fast the scan is compared to manually extracting the data. Now supports older Platinum subscriptions as well as the new In Play format.

Here is a video on Ibscan, which uses Interactive Brokers's desktop API to query their scanner. You obviously need IB to use this scan.

The Sector and the Industry scans based on Google Finance are very powerful to zoom into market action. Data is real time.

The Finviz scan from Finviz.com is a great free scan. They also have a paid subscription for a real time version of their screener.

Prophet from prophet.net is another highly customizable scanner.

Two quick and reliable scans straight from the web. Inet and Quote. Inet is actually a good pre-market scanner.

Prem, a new real time pre-market scan from free sources, no data subscriptions required.
